Australian Banking & Finance Magazine (AB+F) hosted the 3rd annual Mortgage Innovation Forum in Sydney.
With the mortgage sector constantly being challenged by global funding volatility, ongoing banking and broking regulation , economic and market uncertainty and the rapid rate of technology change it was clear from yesterday that our mortgage industry has plenty of hard working passionate industry experts and innovators that are investing and delivering new and exciting ways of doing business across the mortgage supply chain.
The day kicked off with a strong keynote presentation from Adam Bennett, Chief Information Officer, Retail & Business Banking Enterprise Services, Commonwealth Bank; the forum proceeded with other highlights including a presentation on the challenge of funding banks in 2012 by Steven Munchenberg, Chief Executive Officer, The Australian Bankers Association and panel discussions that actively engaged the audience on the future of funding mortgages, the facts behind the housing bubble debate and what is driving change and innovation across the Mortgage supply chain . The day finished off with Aussie John’s inspiring industry address and finally the launch of the RP Property Capital Markets report 2012 published by AB+F.
